We offered a completely scalable smart city AI-powered solution that assisted several cities’ operations and managerial criteria. We developed ‘Impresario’ as an AI-enabled video analytics system, intelligent transport system, moving vehicle violation detection, and environment monitoring assistance for the city’s effective regulations and better performance.

Intelligent Transport System

Impresario has an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system that detects and identifies suspects, unwanted vehicles, and nonstandard number plates.

Video Analytics System

Our development allows operators to access uninterrupted recordings, security operations, and law enforcement. It automatically detects overcrowding, unattended baggage, and perimeter intrusions.

Moving Violation Detection

We employed the ITVD (Intelligent Traffic Violation Detection) technique powered by machine learning and computer vision algorithms to detect violations of vehicles’ traffic rules.

Centralized Bird's Eye View

From traffic control to citizens’ safety, operators can remain alert to situational awareness, garbage overfills, water logging, traffic congestion, illegal parking, hazardous escape, etc.

Environment Monitoring

Our development analyzes data on greenhouse gas emissions, weather patterns, air pollution, and other environmental factors. Machine learning can forecast a city’s real-time pattern, air quality index, etc.

Problem Statement

The board of directors for the smart city project approached us to develop and integrate an AI-powered video analytics system that provides continuous viewing and recording and enables security operators. It also allows for automatic recognition of number plates and identification of suspected vehicles and non-standardized number plates. Additionally, the directors wanted the system to track moving violations with 100% accuracy.

This development should also assist the city in monitoring its environment and provide operators with a bird’s-eye view. Their main concern was the seamless installation of this “AI-enabled smart city manager.” They were worried about this development’s installation process, performance, ability, and stability. Sometimes, the entire operation fails within a week or a month, and they want to avoid taking risks on this project.

Solution: Elevating the existing performance concerns, we conducted rigorous quality checks and detailed performance testing. Initially, meeting the Impressario's in-field expectations was difficult. However, operating under reliable conditions and delivering optimal performance can be achieved after maintaining quality loops.

03 Accurate Motion Detection

Challenge: Ensuring 100% accuracy in motion violation detection could be challenging using machine learning and computer vision, considering various environmental conditions.
Solution: To overcome the challenge of having accurate motion detection was challenging, but we eliminated it with the implementation of a robust strategy that involves machine learning models, and diverse datasets that encompass traffic scenarios under different climate conditions and give highly accurate results under the motion detection system.

Challenge: The implementation of vast city-wide surveillance causes privacy and data security threats to a huge extent.
Solution: To address the privacy and data security concerns was challenging. We addressed this concern by implementing features like anonymization of personal data, strict access controls, and data encryption. The multi-layered approach helped us ensure the highest level of protection for sensitive data and mitigate potential risks.
